<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Actually, it was Richlands and VA High who first approached Honaker about scheduling them back in 2003. Richlands wanted to start playing Honaker and Lebanon both again after the Russell County school board lifted the "boycott" on playing Richlands in sports. Honaker wouldn't add either team and picked up weaker teams instead and Honaker just got Richlands to play a benefit game with them. With what happened in '03 when we were 9-1 and out of the playoffs, Honaker figured they should stop scheduling teams out of the Cumberland District and was able to also able to add on Abingdon after the scheduling agreement between the Highlands and Southwest Districts fell apart.

honaker tiger fan you had better check with go big red before you post your thoughts on why schedules were made and check if its ok with him...i use a combination of common sense and talks with several different members of the coaching staff to make my statements and since you don't know who i am you have no idea if it is valid or not...you are just assuming...if i knew who you were gobigred then i would call you up and let you know anytime i hear new info or better yet i would see you at a haysi game and explain everything to you face to face then im sure you would understand that im not the type that blows smoke

Well i know Dundin and BigGame but as far as know who gobigred is i do not and really could careless. I just think is is childish to slam someone for posting their opinion on a message board because last time i checked that is what they are here for. I have found that over my years of posting on different message boards that usually when some one post something ignorant toward another person then the person posting the ignorance is just that. I see a lot of people post stupid and retarded stuff on here but should i say "Hey retard" of "Shut up fool"? I just do not think that this is the way to handle it. Mainly it comes from some one who doesnt know jack about crap and is just trying to make them selves look big, but due to there lack of knowledge of the game they can never back there own ignorant remarks up. By the way gobigred i am still awaiting for you to spew forth your vast knowledge of football and the way Haysi could fix their underlying problems? Man this could be a long wait. [img]eek.gif[/img]

I was talking about the part where you said its hard to get the AA teams to play down. The only one around here that won't play down is Graham. Maybe I better stop putting quotes in my posts because people always think I am being a smart A$$ when I do! [img]tongue.gif[/img]

I think yoiu have misunderstood the post of BigGame there HonakerTigerFan. He is not slamming you he is talking about gobigred and his thoughts on that everyone on here or mainly James has no clue on what they are posting. So james said you better check with him to see if it is alright to post stuff about schedules not that anything was wrong with your post. Gobigred i am still waiting ole wise one.

I do know for a fact that Richlands also does not like to play down...yeah they make an exception for Honaker because its only a few miles down the road...they dropped Clintwood a few years back because the felt Clintwood didn't bring enough to the gate...and if you are wondering gobigred I also got that info from a member of Clintwood's coaching staff. Graham and Bluefield have had a history of not wanting to play down and Grundy will only play a few local single A teams as evidenced by them making trips all the way into Tennessee as well as Abingdon, and VA High in recent years to schedule AA opponents...I was surprised when they picked up Clintwood this year which now looks like a mistake, lol.
